State

Every object or link has a state. In the web-interface, all objects and links are color-coded according to their current state.

Object states can change during monitoring process, depending on the received data, according to the set state change conditions.

System has the following default states:

  • CREATED,

  • WORKING,

  • OVERLOADED,

  • ALARM,

  • STOPPED,

  • NO DATA,

  • DOWN,

  • DISABLED,

  • CRITICAL.

For example, a CPU object, metrics of which are periodically gathered by the agent is in the WORKING state if its 1 min. average CPU load is less than 80%. Otherwise the system changes its state to the OVERLOADED state. This is the default setting for the CPU class, that can be changed either for the entire CPU class or each specific object of that class in the State change conditions section.

You can configure the states and add new ones in the States section of the system configuration window.
