Password policies (Configuration)

This section allows to set requirements for users' passwords:

  • minimum length of passwords,

  • necessity to use one or several categories of symbols in the passwords

  • number of unique passwords,

as well as set the passwords lifetime and the requirement to change the password at the first login.

All passwords in the system are encrypted with the bcrypt password-hashing function. It has a has a maximum password length of 72 bytes.
The tab is available only for users with the manage system configuration permission.
